Let me congratulate and introduce you to A senior, Jasmine Julien, of the graduating class of 2020 of Everglades High. Due to the unfortunate circumstances caused by the pandemic of covid-19, her class of 2020 “walking across the stage” moment has been delayed. She has been nominated by her peers to share her Story. | Q: Please tell us about your current plans after high school. And what inspired you to choose this path? | A: I plan to go to FAU to work on my associates and bachelors to work towards my master’s degree and strive for my doctor’s degree. |
| Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family. Where are you from? | A: My family and I like to travel and go on cruises. My parents are from Haiti but I was born and raised in the United States. |
| Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community? | A: A couple of my favorite restaurants are Texas de Brazil, TGI Friday’s and BJ’s Brewhouse |
| Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why? | A: Santorini, Greece to just relax and enjoy their cuisine and clear waters |
| Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows? What show are you binge watching right now? | A: One of my favorite movie is Boo 2! A Madea Halloween. One of my favorite TV shows would be Never Have I Ever on Netflix. The show that I am binge watching right now is DC Legends of Tomorrow. |
| Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher? | A: I’ve received to great advices from to different teachers. The advice that I’ve received from Ms. Beasley is to always see the good in things. The advice that I’ve received from Mr. Doyle is to always do your best. |
| Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to | A: My go to band when I can’t decide what to listen to is Panic! At the Disco |
| Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch? | A: I would choose to have lunch with Kylie Jenner because she is a very successful person and I would want to know what keeps her motivated. I would want to have lunch at Tap 42. |
| Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years? | A: I see myself earning my bachelors degree and going towards my masters and then my doctors degree but also having a bit of fun by traveling. |
| Q: Favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar? | A: My favorite month would be have to be May. My favorite holiday would have to be Christmas. My best single day would have to be Thursday. |
| Q: Who inspires you to be better? | A: My parents are the ones who inspire and motivate me to be better. |
| Q: If you could go back over your entire school career what is one thing you would do different? | A: I don’t think I would do anything different at this point because I believe everything happens for a reason. |
